There is a man asleep in a booth, curled against the cushions with a leather jacket draped across his chest.

On top of his head is a kitten, also asleep.

The man snores every so often while the kitten purrs softly, ears and tail twitching on occasion.

So there's a kitten bouncing happily around near the fireplace, but there's something different about him today.

Attached to his collar is a flower, and it's a very nice looking flower.

It seems that he's looking for someone.

Jack's outside tonight, taking a walk through the snow, trying to clear his head.  The climate isn't something he's used to, Southern California boy that he is; more a novelty, the kind of thing he'd see if he and Teri took Kim to the San Bernardino mountains for a vacation than something that was a normal part of winter.

As Jack comes in from outside, he looks toward the door, an action that's almost become a reflex at the moment.  There's still no sign of it, and he has to wonder how much longer he's going to be stuck here, unable to get to work outside, trying to change things.
